THE MOTIVE 8 BELIEFS
Belief 1 of 8: Generosity Inspires. One act of giving motivates another.
WHAT MOTIVE 8 IS
Make kindness spread. Make good ideas happen.
Motive 8 is a social platform with two jobs: make kindness spread, and make good ideas actually happen — by finding the people, the hands and the goods to make them real.
Everyone has a vision of good — hot meals through winter, a repair shed on a Saturday, a bus so the kids can get to the game. What stops it is rarely a lack of goodwill. It is that goodwill has no way to find the thing that needs it.
Real good usually needs more than money. It needs hands, skills, a business willing to help, someone who knows someone. Motive 8 connects them — and recognises every person who helped, in front of the people who know them. What gets recognised gets repeated.
What members do
Thank
Say thank you to someone who helped you, in a single tap. The person you thank sees the good they did, and can pass it on.
Gift
Gift Hearts to someone you know for a birthday, a milestone, or just because.
Support a Mission
Back a community Mission with Hearts, hands or goods, and help a good idea get off the ground.
Use at local merchants
Hearts are earned for good acts that somebody else confirms — never bought — and members use them at participating merchants.
“Imagine watching your idea inspire a thousand more acts of kindness.”
THE PROSPERITY TREE
Your good, growing
Everyone starts with bare earth. The first good thing you do puts down a root, and from there your Prosperity Tree grows the way a real tree does — thickening where you give most, branching where your good travelled through someone else, fruiting where you moved a person to act.
Nothing here is a post that scrolls away. Look at somebody's tree and you can see what they care about, what they have started, and how far it went. It is not a score. It is a story.
- Roots
- — the causes you get behind
- Leaves
- — your acts of kindness
- Fruit
- — people who got involved because of you
- Blossom
- — someone thanking you
- Seedlings
- — new trees that grew from yours
FOR MERCHANTS
Built with local businesses
Merchants join Motive 8 through a Merchant Programme that sets how Hearts are used at their counter. Members redeem Hearts at the till, and MV8 settles with the merchant each week in their own currency.
Every redemption brings a member through the door who chose a business that gives back. If you run a business and would like to welcome the Motive 8 community, we'd love to hear from you.
